Summary: Transit camps of the Holocaust were camps for political prisoners as well as some Jews. There were working and living barracks, watchtowers, and barbed wires just like in concentration camps, forced labor camps, extermination or death camps, and prisoner-of-war camps. The living conditions of all camps were brutal.
